This August(Sat 9th) I tried something different, while the sheep(my pals)were all up in Inverness at the Tartan Heart one band music festival,I was at Glamis Castle getting a bit of culture at the classical music evening. This orchestra stuff with a real conductor was great. It was none of your heavy duty classical music ,but easy to listen too with a bit of Scottish traditional from Fiona Kennedy and a bit of awesome violin from Nicola Benidetti, then a bit of bagpipes and fireworks in the pouring rain.
22nd/23rd Campbeltown.Booboos right its rotten.2 years ago up in Campeltown it was the best ever, with bands like Sambayabamba,Saggy Trousers and Box O Bananas. This year it was bollocks, apart from the excellent pipe bands, the highlight was listening to a guy with an electric organ and a wee wummin singing in one of the hotels on the Sunday night.
